Prompts and Challenges

Nelson NV
June 3, 2017

How do you like to spend a rainy day? Getting wet. Lynn will kill me for this but when we were first “dating”, we were sitting outside on the backyard covered patio at my house. It was around 9 at night and it started to rain. Lynn walked into the back yard, took off her clothes, and started to dance in the rain. Well, what was I to do? I couldn’t just sit there and watch. So, I did the same. To this day, she denies it happened. Since we’ve been married five years now, I’m starting to believe it never happened, either. It has certainly never been repeated.

List at least five favorite treats. (They do not have to be sugary). Dancing! Rain! Repeat!

Where’s your favorite place to take out-of-town guests? Well, the further out of town they are, the better. But if they do venture in, we usually end up at Nelson, an old mostly abandoned, mining town about an hour outside of Las Vegas. The mine is open for tours and  the owners have done their best to repopulate the surrounding area with old barns and homes and rusty old vehicles from other desert sites.

You are trapped in an elevator, who would you want to be trapped with? Since Cee stole my answer, I’d have to say Sophia Loren. That is if Lynn isn’t with me.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I’m grateful that the fourth of July is over. The fireworks freaked the dog out. For almost a week, she seemed as if she was suffering from PTSD. Shaking, couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep. The dog is usually just annoying but last week I almost felt bad for her. A temporary moment of weakness on my part.

  2. It’s a good thing the dog freaked out and is probably under the bed rather than in the dog house because there won’t be any space for both of you in there!!! We’ve been having rain all day, but needless to say, no clothes have come off. A few too many neighbors around for that anyway. 🙂
