The above image is in response to the challenge that The Girl That Dreams Awake posts every Monday. I look forward to them.

All I can add to this shot is that it must be love. My wife had to be at the airport by 3 am for a flight to China. I wasn’t invited but I did take her to the airport. And since I was awake, I drove out from there to take some morning photos.

Good morning to you all, no matter when you see this!

  1. Emilio thank you for kicking off the challenge with such fantastic photo!!! I love everything about it! Composition light colors! It’s simply beautiful! ☺️

  2. I see a very soft and quiet morning, just before all the noise and traffic is taking the moment to breath deep and just embracing life and throws you back into reality again.

  3. Just the sort of place I’d love to have breakfast, Emilio. Your shots always make me smile, as the subjects are so different from what’s on offer here in the Chicago area. You treat them beautifully. And yes, it’s love.

  4. Thanks, Janet. I’ve been in Chicago only twice in my life so I would love to wander around the city and find older architecture to shoot. In Las Vegas they raze anything over 10 or 15 years old and rebuild a new casino in its place. How short sighted. Older buildings just have so much more character. And the wooden ruins I usually find seem to have so many untold stories.

  5. So, I seem to have accidentally pressed the Press This button (I’m all thumbs and two left feet). I had no idea what that was for – honestly. It seems to have reblogged your post on my site. I’m not sure why there is a separate button to reblog it then. I haven’t taken it down but have credited you, rightly so. My obscure little site doesn’t generate much traffic so no ned to prepare for an onslaught of comments.
