66 On 66

Phillips 66 on Route 66

This was one of the first photos I took when I got my Fuji  X-T1 back in July. We drove southeast to Kingman AZ and picked up Route 66 through Hackberry, Valentine, and Peach Springs to Seligman.  Some great images along this stretch of old highway. I’m anticipating a return trip one day!

  1. Not only to you have lots of 66’s at Phillips 66 there on Route 66, you have classic icons of days gone by and those that still thrive — manual pumps, regular, premium, 7-Up, Harley Davidson, vending machines, Pepsi once removed, and Coke and other soda bottles. Great photo!

    1. Thanks, Tim. Problem is, my wife doesn’t feel the need to return. She’d rather find new stuff to shoot. This weekend I think we’re headed to a place called Boron in the Mojave Desert.
