No More “Spont”!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been back to Nelson. It is my favorite place to find old rusty, broken down treasures. The only thing better is when I come across them out in the middle of no man’s land. Like on a “spont” day trip. There haven’t been many “spont” moments lately as we seem to have explored most every exit off the I-15 and I-95 freeways within a couple of hundred miles of Las Vegas. So lately we’ve been planning our trips. Las week was Paso Robles CA. Next week will be Caliente NV. But until then, may I present to you, once more for your viewing pleasure, Nelson NV in El Dorado Canyon! Just 40 minutes from our home.

  1. Such a cheeky speck of lighting at the top. Love it, brilliant capture and great timing. The clouds in the background give quite a bit of texture to this image too. Looks like a hard mountain to climb. You made a smart move shooting from the bottom 😉

  2. That mountain is quite a distance away and the only way to it is by a long, dusty hike through desert. Then the climb would start. So there is probably no way you’d catch me attempting it. Unless maybe in the middle of winter! Thanks, Mabel

  3. It’s really difficult to think of something original to say when I comment on your photos. They are always beautiful and captivating and there are only so many ways to say that 😉 anyway, this is another fab photo!
