Photo 101 – Water

Prompts and Challenges

Water

There is no doubt that we are in the middle of a drought. A 4 year drought, to be more precise. So water is pretty scarce here at Home. For that reason, today’s image for Photo 101, is a puddle in the Street.

    1. I know you said this as a joke but we actually have seen coyote around our home. My wife almost ran one over last week. It was crossing a dimly lit back road within walking distance of our house. We have even heard about a coyote that was spotted with a domestic cat sticking half out of its mouth!

  1. Great interpretation of the theme, Emillo. And yes, the drought is beyond concerning. I am now living in Humbolt County, and we have less than a quarter of the annual rainfall we normally do. It is eerie to live somewhere where it is supposed to rain a lot and only see blue sky, beautiful, but eerie.

    1. Oops, sorry. It seems I left a “1” out of my description. It is a 14 year drought, not a 4 year drought. Lake Mead has a white band around the shoreline, sort of like the ring around a drained bath tub!

    1. Thanks, Raewyn. I don’t even remember what I was shooting, I think it might have been graffiti, when I noticed this small puddle. I completely ignored it at first then, just before leaving, grabbed a shot.

  2. Very creative with the upside down reflection. I do want you to know Emilio I think of you and your Grandfather often. I don’t want to be intrusive and ask constantly after him but do know you are both in my thoughts.

  3. Emilio, I can’t remember if I already asked (or you already answered) about Photo 101. Have you explained this somewhere and I missed it?
