Shot with an iPhone 5- amazing little camera, …er, phone!

I came across this tableau a few days ago as I was getting into my car. I moved the fast food wrapper a bit closer, then took the shot. It didn’t occur to me until writing this just now that I left it there, all the while commenting to myself on what kind of person just throws their litter on the ground. Well, what kind just sees it as a photo-op?

All I can say is there’s a lot of noise when you shoot at ISO 6400 with a Canon T2i. This is  Caesar’s Place Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas NV shot from the parking garage.

The above image may not seem like it has anything to do with color, but just hear me out. This young lady’s outfit was a very bright pinkish – orange. Almost garish. In fact, if she were jogging at night, I’m sure no one would have a problem seeing her. Well, I was going to convert it into black and white and set all the individual color sliders at minus 100. Then I added just the yellow to get some skin tone (yes, the yellow) and this is what I got. No other color slider has been moved from -100 even though the brown would suggest some red was added. Even the pink tones in her shorts and top look as if there is some red in here but, according to the lightroom sliders, there is not. But, you know what? Who really cares if there is red. I like the color treatment and so this is my post for Photo 101’s prompt!

Please do not read one more word I write until you read Janna’s story that was prompted by this image. Janna is one of my favorite writers on wordpress and we have fallen into a mutual admiration society. Can two people form a society? Well, you know what I mean. I love her stories, she loves my photos. OK, I’ve changed my mind and am not going to tell you any background on this image. Why should I ruin the world Janna has created? Go read her story. Comment on it. Then read some more of her blog! Do not come back here tonight. Nothing is going to change until tomorrow! If then!
