Well, I guess I side with Vinnie. I don’t have a favorite color. Unless you count black which is, I believe, a combination of all colors all at the same time. (Because when I wear all black I feel somehow tough. More manly!) Any color has the potential to be my favorite when set side by side with another (check the pink in Andrew’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Selfie | thechangingpalette – though you would never actually see me dressed in, let’s say a pink shirt, for example). But the challenge was not to take a photo of your favorite color, but of the color yellow, so here are two photos where yellow is highlighted.

The first, we were driving around looking for photo opportunities somewhere in Utah when we came across a row of ancient trucks on display on the side of Interstate 15. We pulled off (cars rushing by at 75 to 80 mph) and while I was concentrating on depth of field and composition and such, a policeman pulled up alongside me- admonished me for endangering my life for a mere picture (obviously the guy was not a photography aficionado) but let me go with a warning.


The second, we were vacationing in San Francisco and my one goal was to get a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge entombed in fog. Well, those few days we were there the bridge was so entombed that all I got was a cloud of dirty gray soot. So I turned my back and came up with this:
